Jerod Peldrim - Antagonist, replaces Connard as the primary Antagonist.  29 years old when the story begins.  considers himself a playboy, but women recoil from him, spends, wastes, polluter, resources plunderer.  In the sequel he gains a wife named Tiff, who appears to be a vain airhead, but is not who she seems.  Jerod clearly has disdain for his father; there is no love between them, but they do claim to be loyal to each other, playing strong father and dutiful son for their public personas.

He becomes more and more duplicitous and sociopathic as does increased evils to amass power and continue to ravage the planet and people
