Draugr:

*Created and controlled by Advisor Ignato Grath, from his command center Eterna Abunda.

He amasses an army of devoted followers, who siphon off of the Nemorence at his discretion.  After a short period, having proven themselves, his followers experience “Draugumbreyting”, wherein they die, ceremonially killed, and are then reborn in undeath, much like how Ignato’s own life force was siphoned off and continually replaced with new Nemore siphoned from the source.  Through this process, he has amassed a seemingly unending army of undead thralls, his Draugr.

Over time, the Draugr lose the identity they had in life, forgetting their memories and sense of self, slowly transforming into mindless undead, as their previous life slips away from them.  They are dependent on Nemore to remain animated: In appearance, they rot, with his oldest soldiers looking like skeletons, many of them more akin to mummies, decaying corpses.  With full, consistent doses of Nemore, the rot can be staved off, and Grath often issues extra Nemore as a reward for exceptional acts.  The world around them withers and dies, it is a reflection of the Nemore that they continue to greedily suck out of it.  The world around them is dying, but they are promised “eternal life” by the Endless Bounty.

Their presence pollutes the environment, causing sickly ooze and rot in plant life.  Toxic green fog materializes where they are in dense concentration and large numbers.  Animal wildlife flees where they are, if they do not, the fog turns them undead as well.

Ignato Grath has a few close members of his inner circle that he refers to as Revenants: (akin to vampires) who feed directly on life energy.  In stark contrast to the other ‘Draugr’, they are beautiful with immortal youth but intense cravings for Nemore and can go mad without it.  They are his elite chosen few in number, more powerful than the vast majority of his army, and retain their own minds, memories, and willpower, aside from the insatiable craving for pure Nemore.
